USDA is responsible for protecting animals covered by the Animal Welfare Act and Horse Protection Act. Through inspections and outreach, APHIS Animal Care ensures the humane treatment of more than 1 million animals nationwide. Animal Care has experienced numerous changes and challenges over recent years, and this session will provide an opportunity to hear from and ask questions of USDA staff.
