Americans for Medical Progress
Naomi Charalambakis is the Director of Communications and Science Policy for Americans for Medical Progress, a nonprofit, health research advocacy group that supports the advancement of human and animal medicine through responsible and regulated animal research. Prior to working at AMP, Dr. Charalambakis served as the Associate Director of Science Policy for the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB). Dr. Charalambakis graduated with her doctorate in Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2018 where she studied the role of retinal input on inhibitory interneuron development in the visual thalamus and co-founded the first student science policy organization.
