Dr. Chelsea M. Mead is a Professor of American Indigenous Studies and History at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She has served as a board member on her institution’s IRB board for the past seven years and is currently serving in the role of co-chair. Her scholarship is focused on Indigenous language revitalization and the growth of individual and institutional awareness of Indigenous history and partnerships with Indigenous communities. She also serves on an IRB Board for Mayo Clinic Rochester and is in the process of launching an IRB for the MinnState System (37 colleges and universities) in Minnesota.
