Laura Evans, MA, CIP, Executive Director, Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Homewood IRB & Conflict of Interest and Commitment (COIC) Office.
Laura has spent nearly two decades in the field of human research protections and the past ten years also working in conflicts. Laura manages JHU's Homewood IRB responsible for reviewing social, behavioral, and educational research (SBER) from seven different divisions of JHU. In addition, Laura supervises compliance with the University's COIC polices for two schools/divisions under the JHU umbrella. Areas of expertise include HSR, conflict of interest and commitment, regulatory oversight and compliance, and institutional policy in higher education.
