Bridget McKenney is Human Subjects Privacy Analyst at the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) in the U.S. Department of Justice, where she provides regulatory and ethical oversight for research involving human participants. Throughout her career as a social scientist and human research protections consultant, she has supported the rigorous and ethical conduct of research by helping researchers at all career stages navigate the complexities of academic, commercial, and federal human subjects review processes. Dr. McKenney received a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and holds the Certificate of IRB Professional (CIP); prior to joining NIJ earlier this year, she was Chair of Criminal Justice & Sociology and IRB Chair at King’s College (PA).
