Mary Ann Vasbinder, DVM, DACLAM (she/her/hers)

Dr. Mary Ann Vasbinder serves as a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, providing guidance for animal care and use programs and enhancing the environment for animals. Over the course of her 25-year career at GSK, she has served as the Attending Veterinarian for three US sites, the Site Head for the US programs and the Head of the Veterinary Medicine for their global programs. She is a founding member and previous president of the 3Rs Collaborative, an organization focused on advancing 3Rs through collaboration and sharing of ideas and information. In her career she built expertise in global laws and regulations as well as harmonizing across organizations through development of performance standards. Understanding the impact of animal housing and behavioral management of animals in research environments continues to be an area of focus for her and she aims to contribute to the evolution of these strategies for animal welfare.
