Douglas Grafel (he/him/his)

Department of the Air Force, Component Office of Human Research Protection

Mr. Douglas Grafel is the Research Oversight and Compliance Program Manager for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Component Office of Human Research Protection (COHRP). Mr. Grafel has been invovled in human reaserch protections with the DAF at both the Air Force Research Laboratory as well as in his current role, and as the Social-Behavioral IRB Manager for 11 years at the University of Colorado Boulder. He has a BA in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he conducted research into alternative modes of data presentation (specifically data sonification). Mr. Grafel currently workks remotely from rural Nebraska where he lives with his wife Stephanie and youngest son, Hayden.
