Ms. Andrea Kline is Director of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), Office of Human and Animal Research Oversight’s Office of Human Research Oversight (OHRO). Her office is responsible for review, approval and compliance monitoring of USAMRDC/Department of Defense-funded and conducted research involving humans. She serves as the Human Protections Director for the Headquarters, USAMRDC and oversees the OHRO’s review and approval of extramural human research as well as the office that supports the HQ USAMRDC’s Institutional Review Board. The OHRO provides regulatory oversight for DoD-funded research conducted in 52 countries and over 1600 institutions. Ms. Kline received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina. She has been certified as an Institutional Review Board professional for 21 years.
