I am Solymar Solís-Báez, BA, IRB Administrator at Puerto Rico's largest hospital, Auxilio Mutuo Hospital. I am tasked with research compliance oversight activities. I have extensive experience promoting development and capacity enhancement of research and evidence-based practice (EBP) competencies, collaborating with internal/external entities for the development of research/EBP projects, developing and imparting workshops about various related topics. I believe in ethical research as a cornerstone for the development of good science that can better serve diverse communities' clinical needs. Engaging communities in ethical research promotes visibility, equity and trust in scientific endeavors.
