Alyssa Speier, Senior Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs, Research Compliance & Education serves as the primary point of contact for Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health faculty on developing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between the School and other collaborating institutions. She also works with the School’s Associate Dean for Regulatory Affairs & Research Compliance to develop and implement policies and procedures related to the detection, investigation, and prevention of research misconduct and provides faculty/post-doc training and education on such policies and procedures. In addition to her role as ORARC Associate Director, Alyssa oversees the Harvard Longwood Campus Quality Improvement Program (QIP) which provides investigators and their study staff with consultation and guidance on regulatory requirements and institutional policies and develops and presents focused educational material.
Alyssa joined ORARC in 2005 and worked as IRB analyst conducting protocol reviews. Prior to that, she worked at the Harvard Business School coordinating the computer lab for experimental research. Alyssa earned the Certification of IRB Professionals (CIP) designation in 2007. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and her MS in Health Communication from Tufts University School of Medicine.
