Mark Lifson, PhD (he/him/his)

Mayo Clinic

Mark Lifson, PhD, is the Director of AI/ML Engineering at Mayo Clinic, where he leads teams to integrate AI into clinical practice, driving advancements in healthcare through innovative solutions. With over 15 years of experience, Mark has contributed to AI/ML research, medical device development, and healthcare technology, focusing on safe and effective software deployment. He has published extensively on AI model documentation, health equity in AI, and healthcare technology governance, and developed AI-developed devices with CE-mark and FDA approvals. Mark holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester, a BS in Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University.
