Ben is an IRB professional with over 10 years of experience working in and with government and academic medical center IRBs. Ben began his career as a basic researcher studying genitourinary cancers at UC Davis and the Sacramento VA. Ben parlayed his scientific background and apptitude for administration into a role in the VA's IRB. From there Ben took a position at UC Davis' Emergency Medicine department where he navigated the complex regulatory landscape of human subjects research studies on behalf of investigators and research teams. Ben eventually joined the UC Davis IRB as their Associate Director before coming to his current position as IRB Director at UC San Diego.
