Tom Mustac is a Senior Director of Cybersecurity at Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. In his role, Tom is responsible for the cybersecurity of connected devices across Mount Sinai Health System's internationally acclaimed facilities including the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, eight hospital campuses, and more than 400 ambulatory practices with revenues exceeding $8B; this includes the active management and remediation of known vulnerabilities. The success of the developed program was built upon partnership and collaboration across the enterprise, device manufacturers, leading medical institutions, and government agencies to secure our IoT and MIoT devices and promote patient safety and enterprise risk reduction.
Tom’s diverse professional background consists of years of hybrid experiences spanning across multiple critical infrastructure areas including the manufacturing, financial, and healthcare verticals emphasizing years of experience in implementing enterprise solutions to meet business requirements of security, resiliency, and profitability.
Tom holds multiple degrees including a doctorate degree in Information Assurance (University of Fairfax), MBA in Information Systems (Iona), MBA International Marketing (Iona) and a BS in Economics (Queens College). Tom is a supporter of public and private partnerships and has held leadership and board roles with InfraGard National, NY Metro InfraGard, FBI InfraGard Cyber Health Working Group, H-ISAC, HSCC and AEHIS.
