Lori Jennex, MA, CIP is the Associate Dean for the Program for the Protection of Human Subjects (PPHS) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is responsible for the operations of the PPHS, 19 staff members, 4 active IRBs and 3000+ active projects. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Cultural Anthropology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and California State University, Fullerton respectively. Lori started her career at Cal State Fullerton in the Office of Grants and Contracts as the combined IRB/IACUC coordinator and soon found she wanted to learn more in the field of human subjects protection and moved to New York City to work in the PPHS. Lori has 23 years of IRB experience.
